Looking ahead, new projects include a new hotel near Hillstone Restaurant with over 120 rooms on Lake Killarney.  Plans also are underway for a state-of-the-art medical building, Class A office buildings and exclusive shopping and restaurants teeming with the “wow factor”. 

The City of Winter Park is partnering with the Florida Department of Transportation in preliminary planning to beautify the road and alleviate traffic congestion.  They intend to transform Orlando Avenue from a destination road to a pedestrian-friendly street with shade trees, bicycle lanes and versatile trails more in keeping with the flavor of Winter Park.
