Presented annually on the second weekend in October, The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art festival exclusively featuring Florida artists.
Art, live entertainment, children’s activities, food and beverages combine in a free, family-friendly festival spread along historic Park Avenue in Winter Park.
Just up the road from Lake Killarney Shores at Winter Park, the Enzian Theatre arthouse is in the midst of presenting The 24th Annual South Asian Film Festival through October 1st. On the Halloween front, the theatre livens up the marquee with a month of outdoor screenings, midnight films and cult classics – the ultimate celebration of Halloween aficionados!
Paul McCartney?
As a matter of fact, Sir Paul has been among many stimulating presenters at the Winter Park Institute at Rollins College. For nearly a decade, the college has hosted a series of stimulating public lectures, readings, symposiums and interviews. On tap for October 22 is Martha C. Nussbaum – Philosopher, author, and professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago, who will address Fear and Anger: Democracy in Peril.
